Inspired by a typical Balinese village, Amandari is a peaceful retreat with andesite walkways and traditional shrines, surrounded by terraced rice fields and overlooking the sacred Ayung River Gorge. It is ideally located for those wishing to experience the quintessential Balinese hill country experience. Amandari has a range of options to provide for your wedding, whether it be a small intimate affair or a larger party.
For small weddings of up to 10 people, there are several options. These range from ceremonies in one of the special outdoor bales located just beneath the Amandari Pool and commanding splendid views of the Gorge, to reception dinners beside lotus ponds or in a lofty-ceilinged private dining-room overlooking the Amandari Village. Alternatively, weddings can be held in a private villa.
Gatherings comprising up to 30 people could begin with a ceremony in the gardens followed by a cocktail party or candlelit dinner by the Amandari Pool or in the privacy of a villa. Weather permitting, Amandari also offers a unique setting under the stars overlooking the valley and rice terraces. Entertainment following dinner can also be arranged.
Another option is a fully-inclusive event with ceremony, reception and dinner staged at a temple two minutes by car from Amandari. This is another special Balinese environment. Here we can accommodate parties of up to 80 persons. Finally, with a buy-out of the resort, we are able to arrange a wedding celebration for up to 120 guests in the main lobby and restaurant area of the hotel.
Couples also have the choice of a Balinese blessing done by a local priest (not legally binding) in Amandari’s bale overlooking the river. The priest and his assistants will prepare offerings consisting of flowers, incense, rice and banana leaves to ask the gods and Balinese spirits to come together and wish you well as you embark on your journey together. We would be pleased to dress you in Balinese dress for the occasion.
