It would be hard to find a more dramatically romantic venue for a wedding than Amangiri. Surrounded by awe-inspiring scenery, it is the ideal place to tie the knot in an intimate, meaningful and beautiful way.
The resort features a number of outdoor venues of various size, orientation and feel. Amangiri is best suited to small, intimate wedding gatherings of 2 to 20 guests, however for larger events of up to 75 guests, the resort can be booked in its entirety during certain times of the year. Due to the intimate and open concept nature of the resort, a full resort buyout may be required for parties requiring more than 12 suites, based on the season of the request.
The Desert Lounge is perhaps the most popular and versatile ceremony location on property. Running north/south along the resort, the lounge offers an expansive easterly view of the beautiful Stud Horse Mesa. The orientation of this space makes it the ideal location for a sunset or sunrise ceremony. The venue is large enough to host 75 guests yet intimate enough for a private ceremony and candlelit dinner set solely for the bride and groom.
The Reflection Pool at the Amangiri Spa has likewise been host to a number of small ceremonies. After being pampered in the Amangiri Salon, the bride follows the floating walkway where she meets the man of her dreams. Beautiful at any time of day, this location is particularly special in the early evening hours. A private dinner for two can follow in the nearby Thai Pavilion, the only south-facing dining location on property.
The mesa that surrounds the Amangiri Spa is yet another unique ceremony location. A short, moderate hike from the Amangiri Spa, the mesa offers panoramic views of Stud Horse Mesa and the Grand Staircase Escalante. For those couples looking for a completely natural setting in which to exchange their vows, this location is it.
After the ceremony, parties with 10 or fewer guests can enjoy dinner in the Private Dining Room. For those groups of nearer 20 guests, the Campfire Pavilion serves as an inviting space for post-ceremony cocktails and a private outdoor dinner. The main pavilion Dining Room and Pool Terrace offer a magnificent indoor/outdoor dining experience for those larger, full-house functions.
Amangiri is pleased to assist with venue selection and custom menu design for celebrations. We’re also happy to recommend and help facilitate discussion with local florists, musicians, photographers and officiates of various denominations. It is recommended that the bride and groom arrive at Amangiri two days prior to the ceremony, and both must be present to obtain their marriage license from the Kane County Clerk’s Office located in the town of Kanab, a 75-minute drive from the resort. Most licenses are issued on site and within a couple of hours, but adequate time should be allowed for further processing.
