Amancruises have a fleet of cruisers and sailing craft for sailing, deep-sea diving, snorkelling, overnight stays and sightseeing.
The fleet includes the Maha Bhetra (a 90ft three-cabin luxury cruiser), the Aman 1(60ft Bluewater yacht), the fast Amanpuri I and III (18ft speedboats built for speed and comfort) and Amanpuri II and IV (23ft Searay Lagunas powered by outboard engines). Other alternatives include Amancruises’ grande dame Maid Marina II, suitable for both day cruises and overnight trips. Divia III is a 72ft motor yacht, it is big, fast and comfortable. Fully air conditioned with a state of the art entertainment system it can accommodate 20 for day trips and six for overnight cruises. Champagne is a 48ft Concorde motor yacht. This performance sports cruiser is powered by twin engines and cruises at a speed of 22 knots. The vessel can house 12 persons for day charters and a couple for overnight cruises. Aman V has a six-seater covered seating platform and is powered by twin Yamaha engines used for a variety of activities. More adventurous alternatives include the fast and versatile Plabin dive boat fleet, two 38ft custom-built vessels are available with a cruising speed of over 30 knots for diving and snorkelling, and the Blowfish for fast cruising or fishing. Guests may also tour Phang Nga on a classic Chinese 40ft junk, the Sealion.
Visiting the nearby islands is an exhilarating experience. At the drop of an anchor, the captain will happily allow passengers to explore the natural beauty where vegetation is dense, lush and tropical, where sea eagles glide overhead while lizards, sea egrets and curious ‘eyes’ look out from their vibrantly coloured habitat. Most of the islands have caves with impressive stalactites and stalagmites, leading to enclosed verdant green lagoons. Lunch and refreshments are served in the cool of the air-conditioned cabins with drinks and snacks being offered throughout the trips.
