Arrival by floatplane offers the most direct mode of transfer between Bali and Amanwana. The eight-seater lands in the bay in front of Amanwana.

Scheduled air transfers to Moyo Island depart from Bali five times a week during peak season (1 June - 31 August) and three times a week during non-peak season (1 September - 31 May) by Cessna Caravan amphibian floatplane. This state-of-the-art floatplane, operated by Travira Air, lands in the bay directly in front of Amanwana, weather permitting*, and is Amanwana's recommended mode of transfer. Flying time is approximately 65 minutes and guests need to arrive at the airport in Denpasar 45 minutes before the flight. The 675-hsp, turboprop jet engine floatplane can carry up to eight people comfortably, with a strict baggage allowance of 15kg per person. Cost of the transfer is US$400 nett per person each way.

Amanwana guests can also charter the floatplane any time on any day, year-round (except during scheduled times and Tuesdays) at a one-way cost of US$4,500 nett. Flights are subject to availability. All rates quoted are subject to change without notice.

• In the event of rougher sea conditions, the floatplane will be diverted to Sumbawa airport and guests will be picked up and transferred to Amanwana by boat. The leisurely cruise takes approximately 45 minutes.

Guests can also choose to fly between Bali and Amanwana by helicopter. A helicopter-landing area near the camp, allows for direct access. Air Bali operates a Bell 206B Jetranger helicopter which accommodates two people. The gas turbine  engine helicopter has a flying time of 1 hr and 45 minutes between Bali’s Denpasar airport and Amanwana. Helicopter pads are also available close by Bali resorts Amanusa, Amandari and Amankila. Flight schedules and fares are subject to change. Guests are advised to enquire upon reservation.

Guests staying at any of the three resorts on Bali (Amandari, Amankila or Amanusa), before or after their stay at Amanwana, will be provided with complimentary car transfers to and from Denpasar airport. For guests requiring an overnight stay at Bali at either end of their Amanwana holiday, Amanusa is only 15 minutes from Denpasar airport.
