location & map
Amanyara is located on the coast of Northwest Point adjacent to Malcolm’s Beach on the island of Providenciales. The island is one of the Turks and Caicos Islands, part of the British West Indies. Comprised of just eight islands and 41 small cays, of which only eight are inhabited, the territory is some 925 kilometres (575 miles) southeast of Miami and 160 kilometres (100 miles) north of the Dominican Republic, lying just outside the Caribbean Sea in the Atlantic Ocean.
The international airport is on the island of Providenciales, a 25-minute drive from Amanyara. A number of airlines offer direct flights to and from Providenciales. During the high season (November to April), most airlines offer additional flights to and from Providenciales. Amanyara provides complimentary roundtrip vehicle transfers between the airport and resort. The national airline, Air Turks and Caicos, operates scheduled flights between the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.
