Winter is a time for hibernation, when we move less, eat more and generally draw into ourselves. This can result in tight muscles and a lack of fitness, not to mention dehydrated skin. Don’t wait for spring to reinvigorate yourself, rather awaken your body and spirit in the sun, sea and fresh air of Amanpulo.
Situated on Pamalican Island in the Philippines, Amanpulo is surrounded by the inviting turquoise waters and pristine reefs of the Sulu Sea, which offers a host of activities including swimming, kayaking and snorkelling to get you moving. The fine, white-sand beach rings the island and provides the ideal route for daily walks or jogs. And then there’s the Aman Spa.
Offering six treatment rooms, relaxation salas, a yoga and meditation pavilion, and a fitness pavilion encompassing a gym and a Pilates studio, Amanpulo’s Aman Spa is a destination unto itself.
The Amanpulo Fitness Break includes a daily 60-minute private fitness session focusing on Pilates, yoga or TRX – the latter developed by the US Marines. There are also daily group classes in yoga and Pilates on alternate days. Adding a touch of indulgence to reward you for your efforts, there is a range of massages or facials to choose from.
