The Raja Ampat expeditions offer a five- or seven-night adventure through one of the world’s most exceptional marine areas. Renowned for its biodiversity, Raja Ampat or ‘The Four Kings’ encompasses over 40,000 square kilometres in the northeast seas of the Indonesian Archipelago where the Pacific becomes the Indian Ocean. The resulting currents stir up nutrient-rich water which, along with the tropical climate, nurtures magnificent coral reefs and unparalleled marine life.
Scuba diving the many dive sites of Raja Ampat is an otherworldly experience with the chance to see over 1,300 species of fish, 603 species of hard coral (including 75% of all known coral species in the world), 57 species of mantis shrimp and 15 mammal species. As beautiful above water as it is below, the islands are cloaked in tropical jungle and are home to unique flora and fauna. One can find karst forests of rare orchids, sea eagles, tree kangaroos and the famed and incredibly beautiful birds of paradise.
The Raja Ampat Expeditions take place upon two custom-built vessels; Amanikan and the most recent addition to the fleet, Amandira. The boats are ideal for private cruises for one, two, or three couples, or a family, and supports a crew of up to fifteen, including a dive instructor and a private chef.
Both cruises offer a menu of Asian and Western dishes created by Amanwana’s Chef, tailored to your preferences.
