“… I must admit, I was rather skeptical of this trip -- partially because Aman is a chain...and partially because of my phobia to resorts in general.  I could not have been more mistaken.  Its funny.....take out the beautiful villas (which were really stunning -- particularly with some or all of the resorts being at least a decade old -- they seemed very up to date), take out the luxurious trappings....and simply focus on the Aman service.  I can, beyond any doubt, say that the service I received from my greeting at Amanusa to the departure at Amankila was beyond anything I have ever experience at any SINGLE property (let alone across THREE) in all my travels. This for three hotels which have -- what -- 30 villas at least at each property?  It is true that living in the west, where service has diminished to its most diminutive form, perhaps we were a bit jaded compared to some of your asian clients -- but we were simply blown away. 



Changing activities, missing activities, rescheduling activities, wanting something on the beach, near the pool, in a bale, extend the massage, EXTEND THE STAY, a last minute unscheduled detour to see a sight, a last minute dinner reservation, needing a car for this....never an issue for anything. I truly felt as if I had a staff of 50 people -- driver, chef, concierge, spa therapist, cleaner, beach attendant, etc -- all working just for me.”
