There are four Courchevel villages, each named after its altitude in metres and Courchevel 1850 is the highest. The local after-hours options are varied. Village streets are crammed with cafés and restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
Just 200m away from Le Mélézin is the village of Courchevel 1850, with its lively mix of après-ski bars, boutiques and restaurants. It is perhaps the most fashionable ski resort in the French Alps so the sports and clothes shops tend to cater for discriminating shoppers and cosmopolitan tastes. A shuttle service between Le Mélézin and the town centre is available until midnight.
